This site (abigailspov.com) is run by Abigail Van Der Hoven, a photographer based in South Africa. This page explains, in plain language, what personal data this site collects, why, and how you can control it.

What is collected

• Newsletter signup: your email address, so I can send you the newsletter. It’s stored in the site’s database until you unsubscribe.
• Contact form: your name, email address, and message. This is sent directly to me as an email and is not stored in the site’s database.

That’s it — this site doesn’t use cookies, analytics, or any kind of visitor tracking.

Why it’s collected

The newsletter email is used only to send you new work and field notes, at most a few times a month. The contact form details are used only to reply to you. Neither is used for advertising, and neither is sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes.

Who else sees it

Emails (the newsletter and contact form messages) are sent through Resend, the email service this site uses to deliver mail. The site itself, including the newsletter database, is hosted on Cloudflare’s infrastructure. Neither is used for anything beyond running this site.

Your choices

• Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link that removes you immediately.
• You can ask what data is held about you, or ask for it to be deleted, at any time by emailing abigailspov@gmail.com.

If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the date above will change accordingly.
